Dragon boat racing is a combination of colourful boats adorned with lavish dragon heads, crews of men and women challenging their physical and mental limits, a drummer pounding out a loud beat for each boat, water spraying everywhere from the thrusts of paddles, and a screaming crowd of supporters at South bank. It will be loud, exciting and fun!

RiverDragon is designed to be an energizing activity for corporate entrants, sporting teams, community groups and even neighbours and families. Any group can band together to take on Brisbane’s keenest amateurs. From 8:30am to 4pm, crews of 20 paddlers will compete in a series of heats and finals in their attempt to be crowned Brisbane River royalty.

Don’t feel like competing, but still want to be part of the fun? Bring friends and family to South Bank, cheer your favourite team to the finish line, and enjoy the colour, tradition and fun of dragon boating - Brisbane style.
